CAREER SUICIDE - Machine Response LP coming soon and tour starts tomorrow!

This has been in the works for a while (well a few years now), but I guess we can now officially announce that the new CAREER SUICIDE LP is coming out in February!

Over to the band themselves:
"After an excruciating wait, the new Career Suicide LP will officially be out in February. The LP is titled Machine Response and will be released on Deranged Records, with a UK / European version out on Static Shock Records.

This might just jinx it, but we expect to have a limited run of 200 copies for our upcoming UK/Europe tour in December (https://www.facebook.com/events/1619498298355496/) and pre-orders should be available soon too.

We'll be posting some tracks in the coming week, along with the Machine Response 7" that we're putting out ourselves for this tour as well. Career Suicide Records #1!

This is the final cover for the Machine Response LP. The full track list is:

Side A:
Cut and Run
Break Away
Borrowed Time
Tighten the Screws
Total Neglect
Blank Expression

Side B:
Distractions
No Walls, No Curtains
Suffocate
Taking You with Me
Point of No Return"

Career Suicide's UK and European tour starts tomorrow, and they are playing the following shows:
Dec. 9 — London, England @ DIY Space For London
Dec. 10 — Glasgow, Scotland @ Flying Duck
Dec. 11 — Sheffield, England @ The Lughole
Dec. 16 — Copenhagen, Denmark @ KB18 kĂždboderne
Dec. 17 — Leipzig, Germany @ Connewitz
Dec. 18 — Berlin, Germany @ Cassiopeia
Dec. 19 — Antwerp, Belgium @ Antwerp Music City

URANIUM CLUB 7" and TYRANNAMEN LP out today!

After what has seemed like an eternity of delays, we have two new records out today and ready to order:

SSR043: URANIUM CLUB - Who Made The Man? 7"

Uranium Club return with a brand new single on and a taster for their second album. "Who Made the Man? is like a gang of aliens landing on planet earth, finding an extensive back catalogue of Wire and Devo and deciding they want to form a band. The track builds and builds with peaks, odd noises, different parts that come out of nowhere and an instant vocal. It's a banger. This 7" features an alternate take of Who Made the Man? and an exclusive b side Small Fry"

The 7" comes in a hand-stamped sleeve with an embossed innersleeve.
If you are in the USA, please order from Lumpy Records.

SSR046: TYRANNAMEN - S/T LP

"After five years of playing gigs Melbourne's Tyrannamen (who also feature members of Twerps and Whipper in their ranks) finally released their debut album on Cool Death Records but that pressing sold out instantly so Static Shock decided to do the honourable thing and keep this instant classic in print. The album is just 23 minutes long but every minute is worth the admission price alone. The album starts with calling card 'I Can't Read Your Mind' which is full of ramshackle yet instantly catchy punk rock but with a soulful and rock 'n' roll underbelly. It sits somewhere between Alex Chilton, Royal Headache and Irish power pop kings The Moondogs. Your jaw will drop and your feet start moving. Other highlights include the anthemic 'You Should Leave Him' which starts like The Undertones 'Get Over You' before heading into a straight up pounder with Nic Imfeld's raw but tuneful voice taking the song to pop heaven. This album tugs at your heart, twists at every turn and deserves to be loved for years and years to come."

Blue vinyl (limited to 88 copies) available only through mailorder.

New 7"s from WARTHOG and COLD MEAT out now

Greetings! We're starting September with two new releases, the third EP from NYC's WARTHOG and the debut EP from Perth's COLD MEAT. I'm really excited about these (they may actually be two of our best releases yet!) and I hope you like them too. Here's the info:

SSR041: WARTHOG - S/T 7" EP
NYC hardcore punks WARTHOG return with what could possibly be their best recorded output yet. It's been a couple years since their EP's on Katorga Works and Iron Lung Records were unleashed upon us all and in that time the members of the Hog have perfected their particular formula and have finally delivered four more tracks of pounding hardcore savagery that stands out ten fold from most of the bullshit that fans of the genre are bombarded with on a regular basis. Are you a functioning human in a functioning world? Each record comes in a glue pocket sleeve along with a two colour risograph printed insert and download code.

White vinyl available for mailorder only.
Available in the USA from BEACH IMPEDIMENT records.

SSR045 / HSR019: COLD MEAT - Jimmy's Lipstick 7" EP
The debut 7" from this new band from Perth, Australia. Cold Meat bring you four tracks of snotty, snarky feminist punk which takes cues from somewhere in between the electric eels and the Nixe, as well as contemporary London punk. Although, really, this is just raw terse punk played with a certain amount of aggression and despair. You can feel years of anger and frustration condensed down into a four track / nine minute fuck you to toxic relationships, subjection and self doubt.

Pink Vinyl for mailorder only. The record comes with a reverse board pocket sleeve, double sided insert, download code, and the secret behind Jimmy's Lipstick. A co-release with Australia's HELTA SKELTA records.

In addition to these, we've added a bunch of new records to the distro from the likes of Arms Race, GLOSS, Mystic Inane, Heavy Metal, Jack and The Rippers, Barge, Good Throb and more.

Coming soon: TYRANNAMEN - S/T LP

Next month we'll be reissuing the debut LP from Melbourne's TYRANNAMEN! Originally released on Cool Death Records in Australia at the start of the year, this has been one of my favourite LP's of 2016 and I'm stoked that we'll be able to help keep it in print.

I'm pretty bad at writing descriptions, so I handed the task over to my friend Sean, and this is his take on the record:

Clash magazine debuted 'I Can't Read Your Mind' earlier today, and you can check that out right here or listen below:
